What you’ll need:

  • Two tablespoons of olive oil
  • Two salmon portions (preferably with skin on)
  • One head of broccoli (with stem)
  • 3-4 potatoes
  • Two carrots
  • One squash

Instructions to make your dog’s homemade meal:

Step 1: You start by washing all the vegetables and then start peeling the two carrots, cutting the squash and then cutting the broccoli.

Note: You can keep the carrots’ peelings as you can add them to your dog’s meal. But, that’s entirely up to you.

Step 2: Add all the vegetables to a large bowl and mix them properly. You can either bake it in the oven or steam it in a rice cooker.

Step 3: Once you’ve added one tablespoon of olive oil to the air fryer, air fry the potato shavings. Or, you can also bake the potatoes in the oven.

Step 4: Add one tablespoon of olive oil to a pan and fry one portion of salmon (with the skin on) at a medium heat. It’s better if you start frying with the skin side down on the pan. Upon tossing, remove the crisp salmon skin from both pieces of salmon and place them in the dog bowl.

Step 5: When everything is done cooking, combine it all in a dog bowl. Cut into small bite-sized pieces for convenience and if you don’t want to end up cleaning a messy floor full of food bites.

Step 6: No matter how excited your dog might be to eat this meal, let the food cool for around 10-15 minutes before serving it to your pooch.

Instructions to make your homemade meal:

Step 1: Again, you start by washing all the vegetables and then start peeling the two carrots, cutting the squash and then cutting the broccoli. Add all the vegetables in a large bowl and mix them properly. You can either bake it in the oven or steam it in a rice cooker.

Step 2: It’s time to cut the potatoes thinly to make nice friend. You can slice them with a slicer as it’s pretty difficult cutting thin potato chips using a knife.

Step 5: Now, re-arrange it in a place and eat while your dog is also feasting on his food.

“My dogs really love this homemade food. They were getting picky and they refused kibbles. Good thing I came across this recipe.” – From Dan

“Food for your pets is a very important thing and shouldn’t be taken lightly. A lot of people (including vets) seem to constantly make it a point to mention the pet owners to feed dog kibbles. It is so so sad! Pets need proper nutrition and not highly processed junk like these! Most of you already know that these aren’t made from pure chicken meat. They contain the eyes, beak, claws and all sorts of discarded body parts too, of chicken. I can understand that, in this present era of having to work the entire day, preparing foods for pets would be an added burden…but sometimes, you have to put in some extra efforts for the ones you love.” – Shiv.S
